About Summit
Built by people who used to sit on the other side of the pitch.
Summit Public Relations was founded on a simple bet: that PR works better when it's run by former journalists and in-house communicators who know exactly what makes an editor say yes — and what makes them delete an email.
Our Story
Named for the view from the top of the climb — not the summit itself.
Summit Public Relations LLC opened its doors in Eubank, Kentucky, after our founding team spent years running communications inside newsrooms and corporate press offices on both sides of the pitch. We got tired of watching good companies get bad advice — bloated retainers, vague reporting, and pitches that read like ad copy.
So we built the firm we wished we could have hired: senior strategists on every account, direct access to your press list, and reporting you can actually read. No junior hand-offs, no black-box "media monitoring" reports, no guessing what you're paying for each month.
Today we work with founders, operators, and communications leads across professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, and consumer brands who need a firm that treats their reputation like it matters — because it does.
What We Hold To
The terrain rules we don't break.
Editors first
We pitch stories a reporter would actually want to write, not press releases dressed up as news. Every relationship on your account is one we built ourselves, over years — not a rented list.
Say what we did
Monthly reporting names the outlet, the reporter, the pitch angle, and the outcome — including when something didn't land and why.
Ready before it's needed
Every retainer client leaves onboarding with a one-page crisis protocol, whether or not they ever expect to need it.
Senior hands only
The strategist you meet in the first call is the strategist writing your pitches and taking your calls in month eleven.
Leadership
A small team, deliberately.
We cap our active roster so every account gets senior attention. Meet the people who will actually be on your calls.
